It finally happened
Brita fell asleep in her jumper. It was kind of like: jump...jump...eyes closed head down totally out. Then I said something about it and woke her up and she cried and cried. She was a very tired girl. Her naps were all less then ten minutes until she finally fell asleep on me at 4:30. She's got a very stuffy nose again. I think it's worse than last time, actually. Last night she didn't sleep too well either. Oh well, we've got to wear her down sometime. Maybe tonight she'll sleep. Maybe not. She won the battle of the nap in the crib today. She wins that one pretty often.

From a mother that was up every two hours for the first nine months of motherhood - may I recommend the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. It saved my sanity. Well, maybe not all of it.
From someone who still can't talk herself into going to bed if there's still a book in the house unread - sleep's overrated. Eventually you don't even realize you can't function without it.
I'm so glad it was fell asleep. When I first read it, I was still looking at castle cake pictures at the same time (at least that's my excuse, okay?), and I read "It finally happened. Brita fell out of her jumper."
You can imagine what I thought as I read on . . . "eyes closed, head down, totally out."
