Keeping herself busy
Brita found a way to keep herself busy this morning. It helped that the pantry door was left open. She's a rice mover.

Going to sleep
Tonight as Brita was going to sleep she was talking an awful lot. She kept chanting "Brita, Brita." And there was a little "Dad, Dad" chanting too. Then she talked for a long while, gesturing and everything. Then it was back to repeating her name. It was pretty weird. And funny.

The store
I went to the grocery store today to buy strawberries and cream. I also got cookies and some medicine. The bagger (who seemed a little bit challenged) was new so a manager was telling him what to do--I was just kind of listening to it on the side as I was paying attention to the checker. Then I hear the manager say, "She has more stuff so just put that in another bag." And the bagger say, "Oh I'll just give it to her now." So I automatically put out my hand (not knowing what to expect), he puts the medicine in it, and I put the medicine in the pocket of my hoodie, and everyone goes on like nothing out of the ordinary happened. Until I get out of sight, then I start laughing. It just struck me as really, really funny.
Maybe it wasn't.
Here's Brita eating one of my more-than-50%-off super-yummy cookies.

And now Monica needs to vacuum her floor.

Co-sleeping
I was going to post a picture on here about why co-sleeping is awesome. Unfortunately both Brita and Peter woke up before I could find the camera. I should probably clean my house today.

Garden
Peter and I planted the garden last night after Brita went to bed. Well, we planted the plants that we're starting inside anyway. It was fun to play in the dirt again. Now we have a tray that smells just like all the greenhouses I used to work in. I'm so excited for tomatoes. And peas. And peppers. I love food.
