Happy Birthday to me
Peter made me a cake. After dinner we asked Brita what color she wanted and of course, because it was the only one in the middle, she picked purple. Then again I started eating the A, so I guess she comes by it honestly. It was a great birthday.

And how was your day?
In case any of you are wondering how to entertain the Relief Society president when she comes over, don't start by encouraging your daughter to poop while arranging the visit on the phone, don't make her walk the dangerous path over and around all your toys, don't have your daughter pee on the floor in front of her and then invite her to join in the celebration of a two-year-old peeing in the toilet, don't have your baby spit up on her and don't finish it off by splitting out your jeans about twelve inches.
It's been done already.

4. Tag 5 friends to do the same

This is me when I am eleven hours old. My Mom was really fed up with her doctors and the hospital when she had me so she just came home. My parents made all the kids wait until they came back from school before they could hold me. So this is my brother Chad when he got his turn. I used to have quite a few baby pictures, but I gave them to one of my friends when I moved one time and I kind of miss them. There are a few still hanging around, but not many.
The actual picture was a polaroid that had gotten pretty beat up, so Peter photoshopped all the cracks out of it for me. My most recent pictures are old because I've been scanning a lot lately.
Also, the story wouldn't be complete without mentioning the couch he's sitting on. I loved that old red plaid couch. There was a couch and a cuddle rocker. My brother-in-law got rid of them and I haven't so much forgiven him for it yet. They were great couches and I miss them dearly. I still look for them every time I go to DI. I think Peter is grateful that they were thrown away before I had the chance to claim or rescue them.
The End.
I don't really know who reads my blog, so if you'd like to be tagged, consider yourself tagged.

Amazing
Today I was mighty productive. I've been meaning to cook a roast for the last three months or so and I finally decided that today was the day (especially since I got a new crockpot for Christmas). So I got all the potatoes and onions and celery and carrots chopped up and put in the crockpot. The meat was still frozen so I decided to put the crockpot on high since I wanted it done just in case Peter got to come home at six today (not likely). I had everything in by eleven. Go me. I'm amazing. Finally a dinner would be ready and I did it all by myself while taking care of my very own children.
Four and a half hours later, I just plugged in the crockpot.
Better late than never, right?

Bedtime
Peter puts Brita to bed at night. She usually asks him to stay with her "just for a little while." In the night she ususally asks whoever goes in to give her water to "stay by Brita's bed just for a minute." Last night she told me, "Mom, go away. I'll drink my water myself." Kind of sad. Tonight she says to Peter, "Stay with me. Stay with me forever." She loves her Daddy, that's for sure.
Or maybe it was just my stellar FHE lesson on forever families tonight.
Nope. I think she just loves her dad a whole, whole lot.

The Nursery Manual
"This book has lessons in it."
We used the nursery manual for our lesson for FHE last night. (We're a little slow this week.) We learned about Joseph Smith.
This afternoon we looked at it too.
Looking at a picture of Joseph Smith:
"This is Joseph Smith. He went in to the woods and prayed. He saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ."
Looking at a picture of two kids on the 'Child of God' lesson:
"This is a child of God. I colored it in nursery. Just a minute--I'll go get it." Then she came back with the same picture that she had colored in nursery.
I'm kind of glad I have the cutest and smartest kids in the world. Aren't you? :)
