Benton's math

Benton finished his math book yesterday!  It was more of an overall preschool book than a math book, but he called it his math book.  He was doing about 16 pages a day at the end there.  Pretty impressive.

Mima still insists on doing Brita's math books for her math.  She counts things and circles things and colors things.  It's pretty fun.

Irene

The other day (okay, probably a couple months ago) the older kids were all lined up on the couch doing something.  Probable playing the ipad, but I can't remember.  Anyways, Irene pulled herself up to the couch and started walking back and forth along it trying to bite all the kids toes, which were sticking straight out because they have short legs.  It was so, so funny.

Brita is crazy smart.  Jut in case you didn't know.  We've been reading the Story of the World to the kids at night and then Brita steals the book and stays up reading it.

So, today at lunch...

Brita:  Mom, why were the pyramids really big?
Mom:  Because the people who made them made them that big.
Brita:  Hmm, and to keep their Paharoes safe?
Mom:  Umm..[figures out what she actually said] Oh, yeah, to keep their Pharaohs safe.
Brita:  Yeah, I just like to call them Paharoes.
