I just killed a spider. It lived on my kitchen window, apparently. He jumped at me. It was scary--why can't they just die quietly? I finally got it when it tried to crawl inside a box of Fanny Mae.
On an unrelated note (but maybe still working in with the title), we watched The Princess Bride again the other night. It's a good show.

Oh, Melissa, do you miss our castle-storming days?
Indeed I do. I'm grateful we were not attacked by any Rodents Of Unusual Size or jumped at by any disgusting spiders while doing so. The memories would not be as sweet. But they would be more interesting.
Nathanael would be mortified if he knew that you killed a spider. He gets very upset when I stomp on one here. He thinks that they all should live and be loved. He especially likes the little ones that jump around.

Do you want to know what I watched the other day? Strictly Ballroom. Brought back some good memories. But it really is a pretty crazy show. The costumes . . . shocking! :) But still gets me at the end.
I'll tell you what I want. I want Ken Reilly to walk through the door right now and say that Pam Shore's broken both her legs, and I want to dance with you! . . . still waiting. . .
...and waiting...
. . .and waiting. . .
[door opens. dramatic pause.]
Ken: Pam Shore's broken both her legs, and I want to dance with you.
Girl: Well, that was unexpected.
Thanks Pamela! I was getting tired of waiting!
