Kima

So I don't know if any of you we remember the kima we had last time Monica was out, but rack your brains because you need to. I was wondering if there were any objections to having it again for this reunion. Let me know if anyone would prefer not to have it. Here's the recipe for it.

Kima
1 lb. ground beef or tofu, cubed 1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced 1 1/2 t. curry powder
1/2 t. salt dash of pepper
1 T. Kikkoman soy sauce 2 potatoes, diced
2 carrots, diced 1 stalk celery, diced
1 c. frozen peas 1 (14.5 oz.) can diced tomatoes
Brown beef and onions. Drain. Add seasonings and vegetables. There is very little
liquid but don’t worry. Simmer until potatoes are done. Serve in a bowl over rice and
top with a dollop of sour cream.

I'm Five

You only turn five months old once in your lifetime. So, to make this day special for Brita, we made a pineapple upside-down cake. She was so excited she jumped right in and started eating. Hello solid food number four.

But thanks to her Daddy's generosity, Brita has now had her second solid food.

Indeed it was! A moose with sandwich board propaganda! Lucky for me he agreed to pose for me.

I was going to put on a sandwich board and take a picture for you, Monica, I promise. But on my way to do it I saw a moose on a street corner and I thought it was much better than I could do so I decided to just take a picture of it for you instead.

The Last Days

Yesterday I went to Peter's biology class to take notes for him so he could work on a project. He was at school from midnight to five pm yesterday. Anyways, in biology the teacher said that there was a review session on Wednesday from 2 to 4. Peter has a class at three so I asked him if he had that class on Wednesday. He said he was all done with classes for the whole semester. I had no idea it was so close. HE had no idea it was so close. So there you go. Yesterday was the last day of class and I am so glad. Now there's only finals and another term and we're done with school for a while. Yipee.

Brita's first game of Fluxx

Peter and Brita played Fluxx today. They only played once. Brita whomped. Here's Brita with her sad, sad Daddy and the game he lost.

In a pickle

We played "In A Pickle" with Andrew and Karen last Sunday. Karen tried to give it to us, but Andrew wouldn't let her. It was pretty fun, but it made me really obnoxious for hours afterwards as I couldn't stop saying that things were in other things.
