Brita was answering questions from one of the Brain Quest games, and the question came up, "Fix this sentence: 'We saw two mouses running through the field.'" Her response was, "We need to put them back in the mouse trap!"
When Benton was sick with a fever, he asked us several times to take his "time" or his "picture" (instead of temperature).
While driving to the store, Brita asked if the car went by itself. I gave her a long convoluted answer involving engines, wheels, gas and stuff. When I got to the end she said, "What did you say?" So I repeated my self and again, when I got to the end she said, "What did you say?" So I got frustrated about not explaining it clearly for her and said, "Ask Dad." So she said, "Dad, what did Mom say?"
Benton woke up in the middle of the night and was mumbling something that we couldn't make out. We kept trying to figure it out. He finally started answering yes/no questions. "Do you want to get up?" "No." "Do you want some water?" "No." And finally, minutes later.... "Do you want to lay down and go back to sleep?" "Yes." So he lied down and went back to sleep.
