Dinner

Today I spent a good portion of my time doing Khan Academy. I made it quite a ways in the math section. Further after I started using paper instead of trying to do it all in my head. Brita was helping me. She told me she could only do math when Dad helped her and she could only read when Mom helped her.

When Peter came home we had dinner and during it he started asking the kids all sorts of questions, like what does it mean to eat (Brita's answer: you get energy) or what do you see at a grocery store (Benton's answer: you buy groceries). Brita then told him that she wanted to do more math, so he started giving her word problems. She's pretty good. She did three times four and five plus five and six divided by three and all sorts of things. At one point he asked how many wheels a car would have if it lost one wheel. She said three and then she said that it wouldn't be able to drive. That was apparently the most hilarious thing ever said because she busted up. And then Benton did. And then Peter and I did. And the kids were covering their mouths with their hands and laughing and laughing. And Benton would say, "Oh my gosh" (he's not supposed to say that, so it makes it that much funnier, I suppose) and start laughing again.

It was a wonderful night. And the food was good even if I'm the only one who liked it.
