That's what Santa Claus would do.

You know those days where you think you're doing really good but somehow you just fail, fail, fail?-- You know, where you do the whole individual time with each of the kids and teach them stuff and you make cookies like a little homemaker and you take some to the neighbors because you like the neighbors and you even manage to placate a toddler with no one crying and clean up after making the cookies and you have dinner done by the time your husband comes home from work? Today was like that. Because then came a "Mom, you really should try to be nice to us someday" comment, followed shortly by a near nervous breakdown tirade on my part, which in the middle of me saying that I was doing my best Brita comes out with, "Yep, that's what Santa Claus would do." Which of course just makes you laugh.

And that's why I try not to judge people's parenting. If you're a parent and your kid is alive, kudos to you.

That sounds like a supermom kind of day - whatever the kids say!

I've always told people that as long as the kid is alive and I haven't lost any one that day then I am doing an amazing job parenting. What more can you expect?!
