I made a skirt for Brita. I need an opinion on if I need to hem the bottom and if the layers need to be different lengths. It'd probably be useful for you to see it, though. Maybe when our new camera comes you can see a picture. Wow, this post was really unnecessary.
We get to go visit some friends in Provo today. I'm way excited, thus I am killing time by blogging until we can leave. Benton will probably be soaked because he's playing at the sink. They have a new baby. Babies are fun. Adjusting to three kids has been a lot easier than I thought it would be. I don't know if that's just because I thought it would be down right awful or not, though. Have I mentioned I love my calling at church? I do. I teach an awesome class. They're pretty much the funniest people I've hung around in a while. I kind of went off about skinny jeans to one of them on Sunday. Hopefully I didn't scar him for life.
That's all.

Are you making a tiered skirt? I don't think those layers have to be the same widths.
You can just stitch a line around the edge for a hem and let it fray a little. That is especially cute in denims or heavier fabrics.
Another option is to sew a piece of lace on the last tier for the hem.
Or maybe none of this helps because I'm picturing a completely different thing from what you are doing.
