Stupid Andrea

Peter is not home yet. This would be fine except that I just read an Agatha Christie. I just know that someone is under my bed and going to murder me. Oh where is Peter when I need him? Maybe they already got him.

Our beautiful (and functional) high chair

Brita started eating in her high chair recently.

Brita started eating her high chair recently.

(Don't worry--it was before teeth.)

Tooth

Brita has a tooth. It's on the bottom. On the left, I think. It's barely poking through. It was hurting her yesterday, so Peter fed her a frozen banana. She stopped crying. Other than almost choking on part of it and it freezing her throat a little, I think she liked it.

Here's the toothed girl herself. (Of course, you can't see the tooth, but isn't she cute?)

Another one of thoses 'I got to read a book today' posts

I really like books. I like reading books that people recommend to me. I like reading books that I randomly pick off shelves at the library. But most of all I like reading the books that I've already read. Multiple times. I started reading The Sky-liners last night while I was getting Brita to sleep. I've probably read it thirty times. But it was really good, so I didn't stop reading it until eleven thirty when I finished it.

That made me want to read Flint today. But I couldn't find it, so I read The Blue Castle instead. I love that book. That one I've probably read fifty times.

I always forget how much I like the books until I read them again. Like Horse Thieves. And The Miracle of Miss Willie. And Venetia and Ride the River and Sylvester or the Wicked Uncle and Jubal Sackett (Shawn paid me a dollar to read that one the first time so that I would stop making fun of him for reading westerns.). I really love my books.

I read Monica's copy of The Sky-liners so often that she gave me her copy. I love my family. And the books they give me.

Naps

I love it when Brita takes long naps. She only does it when I'm right next to her, so it means I either get a nap or I get to read a book. But the best part is when she finally wakes up not tired any more. I pull her on top of me and she raises her head up, looks at me, and smiles. It's great. It's so fun to have a not-tired little girl.

Brita's new tricks

Brita has decided that sitting down is not for her. Whenever we try to sit her down she refuses to bend her legs. It's pretty funny when you're not in a hurry.

She also has learned to fake cough and gasp. Fun times.

Do you see what I see?

It's all oval

Well, Peter's done with school. Happy day. We went out to eat last night to celebrate. We ate at Tucanos. It was so good. Yummy, yummy, yummy.

Then we went to the library and got a movie. We watched X-Men, which was much better than I expected. (I had really, really low expectations, though.) Then we wanted to see the second one. So we called my friend Dani and she let us borrow her copy. Then we wanted to see the third one, so we got a Hollywood Video membership and the movie. But then it was 10:30, so we didn't watch it last night. Three dollars just for a movie that's not even a new release. They should be ashamed. But at least we have entertainment for tonight.

Today my friend is coming over to watch Brita so I can work on cleaning the house. Fun times.

I miss Cinderella class.

Oh, and congratulations, Peter.
