Not that it means that I'll post again any time soon.
So, what have we been up to for the last four months? I have no idea.
Irene started saying "yes" a long time ago. It started out as a very annoyed sounding "okay," then morphed into an "uh huh" and yesterday it changed into a very distinctive "yes." It's pretty cute.
We went to Idaho once? a couple of times? I don't remember. It's always nice to go up there. Brita and Benton both went on the zip line. That thing is a little bit scary. I went once. I think that's good enough. It was a couple of times we visited because the first time we went up this year the lambs were being born. The kids got to see the third of a set of triplets being born. It was pretty exciting. They were happy when it needed to come into the house that night because it was stronger than my dad thought it was so it was standing up in its box and trying to get out. They thought it was funny. We had a get together with all my family in the area, too, when Melissa came to town. It's always nice be with family.
We went to North Carolina to hang out with all the McNabbs. It's always nice to be with family.. Peter's parents rented a beach house for a week and it was so nice to be there. I think the last night was my favorite because all the kids were having so much fun and the weather was perfect at the beach and no one was puking and then we came back and all got in the hot tub. I think we had 14 people in the hot tub that night. The 80 hours of driving got a little old, though. We had to stop in Illinois for a couple days because we just couldn't make ourselves drive straight back.
I'm pregnant. btw
The oldest kids got their hair cut tonight. Brita's was long enough to donate, so we need to get that sent off. They look mighty cute now (kind of like they looked mighty cute before, but with shorter hair.) Brita always looks so different when she gets a hair cut. Mima said she wanted to get her hair cut, too, but then changed her mind at the last minute.
We finally got around to planting the garden. We tilled it a while ago, but didn't get it planted until last weekend. Hopefully our tomatoes grow. Things aren't off to a great start this year. Brita picked out some flowers and we planted them last weekend and now the entire plants are purple--I don't know if it's nutrient deficiency or water troubles or what.
Peter's a one man show at church lately when it comes to the music. Last week he played the organ for sacrament meeting, accompanied both musical numbers and then played piano for primary. Tomorrow he's accompanying the choir as well as playing the organ and playing for primary. Good times.
I'm just plugging along being tired all the time. We did get all but two rooms of our house cleaned today so that's a vast improvement. Monica came over last Saturday and we spent four hours cleaning the book room. We've faithfully kept it clean since then so she doesn't cry when she comes back from her vacation. Yep, cleaning, that's pretty much my life. And being indebted to Monica.
Irene went into nursery last Sunday. Not the biggest fan. Mima really liked having her in there, though. She's a really great big sister and was showing Irene all the ropes of surviving in nursery. It was fun to watch.
And now for some pictures.
Before and after the haircut.
The hot tub.
Mima's birthday at the beach.
Balanced rock. Brita and my dad climbed up to the base of it. Brita was pretty scared, but she did really good and was proud of herself when she got down.
I totally forgot my sister and her family came to visit. This last picture was one of the funniest games of Red Rover I've ever watched. And yes, I watched and didn't participate. I'm lame like that.
