C is for cookie
We had an amazing RS activity the other night. We meet in the kitchen at church and decorated cookies. We had way more people come than we expected and it was awesome. Both sides of the counter we were working on were lined with people and we ended up decorating close to 200 cookies. That's when it starts to get good. When we got done decorating we packaged up the cookies and people started talking about all the people that they wanted to take cookies to. The sisters in my ward are amazing. They have so much love and want to show it. I had a list of people who hadn't been visited in the last five months or so and when people saw the list they started naming people they knew and wanted to take cookies to. Then they took off in groups and delivered them. We ended up taking cookies to more than 25 families. The person who was in charge and I went together after we cleaned up and visited three families. I met someone I had never met before. I found out that there was another homeschooling mom in the ward. And I was able to give cookies to someone who made me feel so very welcome in the ward and I've been meaning to visit for a while now. All in all a great activity. Go us.

I really didn't think I did that much to make you feel welcome in the ward, but I'm glad you think of me that way ;) And thanks for the cookies - they were super yummy.
