And three days is way too young to be starting this. Tonight Benton was being fussy. I tried bouncing him and rocking him and all of those fun things.. Finally I figured if he was just going to cry no matter what I did I might as well put the dishes away. Instant silence. As long as I kept cleaning he was quiet as can be. It's just not right.
Note to universe: It doesn't matter how many cleanliness conscious kids are sent to me--I will never be a neat freak. So there.

Kids are a trial, so I've heard. My only personal experience has been being a trial.
Mine are a trial in the opposite way. In my house the law of gravity extends to everything in the house being attracted to the floor, especially if the items are put away. And the crying happens if I try to put anything away.
Next time try cleaning the floor tile grout. That ought to practically put him in a coma... :)
Oh Andrea, that is way cute, and funny. It sounds like he will keep you on your toes. (Maybe he will grow up to be like Stephen, I send him to time out and he decides to clean his room.) (Or maybe like Skyler, he begs to load and unload the dishwasher.) (Or, maybe he will be like Cody...thrilled with the prospect of a slightly clean house to compleatly destroy.)
Good luck! =)
