I don't know if it's a fake or not but they are quite artistic in a droopy way. So make sure they're good and dead (in a dried brittle way) before letting them out to the trash.
Well, you're the plant expert in the family, so I ultimately have to defer to you, but I'm not convinced that all this drooping isn't just for show to put you off your guard.
Then again, it could just be severe plant depression. Have you tried Zoloft or some other antidepressant in the water?
What!?! They're supposed to be in water?
